Ngutha-Ngutha Indigenous Precinct

Ngutha-Ngutha Indigenous Precinct

Register your interest to be a part of the Ngutha-Ngutha Indigenous Precinct. Ngutha-Ngutha in the Guugu Yimithirr Aboriginal language translates to ‘back in time’ or ‘long ago’

The precinct takes us on a journey into the traditional cultural heritage and daily life of Australia’s First People in our region. The precinct will see the creation of a traditional village that will feature Indigenous workshops and demonstrations, food, traditional hunting and gathering, culture and techniques of traditional life.

The Ngutha-Ngutha Indigenous Precinct is designed to showcase first hand Indigenous Culture from our region. It is an opportunity to utilise the festival as a catalyst to showcase culture and provide economic development.
